About us

The National Stroke Association of Sri Lanka was formed in early 2001 with the objectives of improving the burden of stroke and the quality of stroke care in Sri Lanka. Its activities are governed by the council of members appointed annually. Over the decade of its existence the NSASL carried out numerous projects, out of which winning the Gold Award for activities organized for celebration of World Stroke Day 2009 is remarkable. Organizing the Asia Pacific Stroke Conference in September 2011 would be another exciting experience. The contributions made by NSASL to medical profession and for public are invaluable.
